Y-3 2010 Spring/Summer Collection Preview

As one of the most exemplary approaches to sportswear and fashion, past Y-3 collections have revolved largely around monochromatic colors with much of the design focus coming courtesy of profiles and silhouettes. In a look at the 2010 spring/summer collection, Y-3 takes on a stronger theme with a floral pattern. The always popular footwear line sees five different models including two sandal forms while apparel includes a jacket and a hoodie.

swagger x Porter “M.E.T.A.L.” Collection

With strong roots in music and Hip-Hop, swagger team up with fellow Japanese brand Porter to create the “DAYDREAM” collection. Iconic colorways from Porter such as olive green and black are represented in the M.E.T.A.L. collection. The releases feature two backpack styles as well as a waist bag and totebag. Across the board we see each style incorporating studded motifs throughout. The bags will apparently begin releasing in early 2010.

BAPE x Fujitsu Notebook PC

Nigo previews a new 2010 collaboration from BAPE, alongside computer company Fujitsu. Implementing A Bathing Ape’s signature camo print, Fujitsu’s mini notebook received a makeover in two colorways, both a part of what seems like a new brand of FMV models. No further information is available at the moment, but stay tuned.

David LaChapelle x Lady Gaga x Kanye West - The Fame Monster - Gaga Book

We are convinced that Lady Gaga can’t stop, won’t stop and will never stop. After releasing her album, most celebrated doyenne of electro-pop immediately takes off for a world tour, sang the to Queen recently and is going to put out the Monster Pack of her latest album, The Fame Monster. Taking her fare for dramatic persona to a new level in ways only children raised in the ever-volatile city of New York can, the lady brings in Kanye West and acclaimed fashion photographer, David LaChapelle, to create images for the Monster Pack of The Fame Monster. David LaChapelle’s signature theatrical images washed in fantastic vivid colors bodes perfectly with Gaga’s outrageous attitude and style. Of course, the matrimony of these two also means nudity ensues, and don’t expect to see pants around either.

Peanuts x New Era Japan Cap Collection

Celebrating the work of legendary artist Charles M. Schulz and his internationally recognized comic strip, Peanuts, New Era Japan create two new sets of “Peanuts” fitted caps. As always, the brand utilizes its industry-leading 59Fifty platform and creatively embroiders the classic Peanut characters, including Charlie Brown, Lucy, Woodstock and Snoopy, onto the caps. While the primarily black set is now available online, the other looks to drop in January of 2010.
