Swagger: TOKYO is YOURS 2009 Fall/Winter Collection Lookbook

Japanese streetwear label Swagger have uploaded their latest lookbook for their 2009 Fall/Winter Collection entitled “TOKYO is YOURS”. The range is obviously inspired by Tokyo streetwear, which itself actually incorporates a lot of western styles (spot the Coca Cola branded items). The styling is both eclectic and audacious – a refreshing look at what can be done with Fall/Winter apparel. The collection is well worth a look, so head over to Swagger now (even if it’s just to check out the array of Nikes their models are rocking).

Common Project Training Boots

Having long been fans of Common Projects for summer with a clean Achilles Low it’s comforting to know our brand loyalty won’t stray during winter. Featuring a high cut boot style, the side zips will make them easy to get in and out of, although few among us are grumbling with the decision to go with laces and a zipper. Sticking with what makes Common Projects so great, the uppers are all leather, still made in Italy and for a twist, a dirty rubber sole to bring the whole thing back down to earth. A touch on the pricier side, but by now, you should know you’re getting what you pay for. No word yet on how these’ll hold up in the salt though. Available here.

Smooth & Smoothie by Florent Degourc

French designer Florent Degourc takes a playful approach to design, as demonstrated in this table – bench set entitled Smooth & Smoothie. First seen on TrendsNow, the set is almost reminiscent of bubble gum, and is made of a mixture polyurethane foam and resin coating, allowing for the ‘melted’ effect, yet durable enough for everyday use. This combo set could easily work inside and out, or as a perfect addition to your cracked out Willy Wonka room.
